Blaine Tarnecki-Student Pastor
Grove has been our family's first and only church. We have been here 16 years and I have been pastoring students for 15 of those years. Student ministry is not a stepping stone towards a Senior Pastor role, it is what God has called me to do! While we love to have fun on The Hill, our first priority will always be the Word of God. To know the Word, and live the Word are of the utmost importance. I desire to see students thoroughly prepared to navigate through their lives and take over the reigns of the local church as qualified leaders. We have been provided with an incredible place in this local church and we have determined to prepare our students to make sure the Gospel is going to move to the next generation.
OPPORTUNITES FOR STUDENTS
On Wednesday nights we gather together @ 7PM with students from across our worship area. Prayer, student led worship and verse by verse Bible teaching are the non-negotiables each week. We have about 90 minutes to make the most of our time and to insure that our students are getting the Word.
On Sunday mornings our students are in Life Groups during the 915 AM service time. We are studying through the books of the Bible with large and small group discussion led by awesome servant staff. All students are invited and encouraged to attend the 11 AM worship service in the main sanctuary.
An intensive student leadership program is available to all high school students from January-May. During this time our students are deeply involved in the Word, serve the local church and reach the lost in our community. We meet bi-weekly and have outings at other times.
