Life Groups

Jesus taught His followers to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” (Matt. 28:19). As a result of these words by Jesus, The Grove believes that one of the primary functions of the New Testament church is to make disciples. It is also our belief that disciples are best developed in a small group setting–where the individual can be known, heard, and cared for by other members of the Body of Christ, as they grow in their relationship with Him together. At the Grove we refer to these small groups as “Life Groups,” because true disciples of Christ do more than just meet–they share their lives together.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”

Matthew 28:19

Life Groups take place both on and off-campus and at various times, yet all groups maintain the same mission: To help all generations grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and His people. It is our desire to create Christ-centered, disciple-making groups that produce Christ-centered, disciple-making groups and individuals.

The Grove offers both on-campus and off-campus Life Groups.

A Life Group is a group of people who come together in a small group setting to care for one another, and to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Life Groups offer variety! They meet both on and off-campus, and they meet at various times. Please see the Life Groups page for specific meeting times and locations.
A casual atmosphere where you will be accepted and loved. Typically, our off-campus groups eat, fellowship, and then have a discussion based Bible Study. Our on-campus groups vary in style, but all are filled with loving people who want to grow in their relationship with Christ.
Between 90 minutes to 2 hours.
We identify that there is often an awkward feeling when meeting new people; however, we also know that within the local church, there is a value in being known–and knowing others. Our group leaders are friendly and nonjudgemental. It always takes time to develop relationships, but we have discovered that the people of The Grove are kind, and genuinely care. Simply put, you matter to God and to us.
The Bible teaches that “… every day, in the temple and from house to house, they (Christ-followers) kept right on teaching and preaching Jesus and the Christ (Acts 5:42).” In the New Testament church Christ was taught not only in the temple, but in homes throughout the community (Acts 2:46-47). It is our desire at The Grove to follow this model.
