Life Groups

Jesus taught His followers to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” (Matt. 28:19). As a result of these words by Jesus, The Grove believes that one of the primary functions of the New Testament church is to make disciples. It is also our belief that disciples are best developed in a small group setting–where the individual can be known, heard, and cared for by other members of the Body of Christ, as they grow in their relationship with Him together. At the Grove we refer to these small groups as “Life Groups,” because true disciples of Christ do more than just meet–they share their lives together.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”

Matthew 28:19

Life Groups take place both on and off-campus and at various times, yet all groups maintain the same mission: sharing the Gospel and making disciples. Our on-campus groups meet weekly on Sunday mornings and follow a format similar to traditional Sunday School.  We campaign and take sign-ups for our off-campus groups twice a year (January & August).  These off-campus groups require short-term commitments that are usually around 6-weeks in length.  After those initial 6-weeks, many of these short-term Life Groups choose to continue to meet because they enjoy the community these groups provide.  These groups offer a short-term commitment that will make a long-term difference. To find out more information, or to sign-up for a Life Group, stop by The Connect Center on Sunday.

Short-term Life Groups

In January 2018, we will provide an opportunity to sign-up at The Connect Center for our short-term Life Groups.  These groups are doing the study called The Case For Christ based upon the film by the same name.  On January 28, 2018 at 6pm The Grove will be hosting a movie event where you, your friends, and your family can come and watch the movie for free.  The Case For Christ is the story of Lee Strobel, an award-winning journalist who sets out to disprove the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ; however, after exploring the evidence Lee is shocked by the results.  We welcome you to join us for the movie and then sign-up for a Life Group where you will form amazing relationships as you explore the evidence for yourself.  To sign-up for a The Case For Christ Life Group near you stop by The Connect Center on Sunday or e-mail Pastor Brent at brent.lord@grovelevel.com.

A Life Group is a group of people who come together in a small group setting to care for one another, and to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Life Groups offer variety! They meet both on and off-campus, and they meet at various times. You can obtain information about our on-campus groups from The Connect Center on Sunday mornings.

Our off-campus groups launch out twice a year – February and September.  These new Life Groups are preceded by sign-ups and a campaign month that will advertise the new Life Group study.

A casual atmosphere where you will be accepted and loved. Typically, our off-campus groups eat, fellowship, and then have a discussion based Bible Study. Our on-campus groups vary in style, but all are filled with loving people who want to grow in their relationship with Christ.
Between 90 minutes to 2 hours.

We identify that there is often an awkward feeling when meeting new people; however, we also know that within the local church, there is a value in being known and knowing others. Our group leaders are friendly and nonjudgemental. It always takes time to develop relationships, but we have discovered that the people of The Grove are kind, and genuinely care. Simply put, you matter to God and to us.
